Reservation Policy – West Bengal NEET UG 2026 Counselling

The West Bengal NEET UG 2026 Counselling follows the state government reservation norms for seat allocation under the State Quota, Management Quota, and NRI Quota in Government and Private Medical/Dental Colleges.

1. State Quota Reservation (85% Government Medical & Dental Seats)

Category-Wise Seat Distribution

• Unreserved (UR) – Open Category
• Scheduled Caste (SC) – 22%
• Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 6%
• Other Backward Classes (OBC-A) – 10%
• Other Backward Classes (OBC-B) – 7%
• Economically Weaker Section (EWS) – 10%
• Persons with Disabilities (PwD) – 5% (Horizontal Reservation within all categories)
• Wards of Ex-Servicemen (WESM) – As per West Bengal Government norms

Horizontal Reservation

• 5% seats in each category are reserved for PwD candidates.
• Ex-Servicemen Quota is applicable based on state government rules.

• Unfilled PwD seats remain within their respective category.

5. PwD Reservation (Persons with Disabilities)

Round 1 Counselling
