    Eligibility Criteria

    Eligibility Criteria for West Bengal NEET UG 2025 Counselling

    1. Nationality & Domicile

    • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
    • West Bengal Domicile Requirement:
      • Candidates or parents must be domiciled in West Bengal.
      • Domicile certificate is mandatory for State Quota eligibility.
      • Non-domicile candidates are eligible only for Management Quota.

    2. Age Limit

    • Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of 31st December 2025.
    • Born on or before 1st January 2008.

    3. Educational Qualification

    • Candidates must have passed Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board.
    • Mandatory subjects:
      • Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English (must pass individually).
    • Minimum qualifying marks in PCB aggregate:
      • General/EWS – 50%
      • General PwD – 45%
      • SC/ST/OBC (including PwD) – 40%

    4. NEET UG 2025 Qualification

    • Candidate must qualify NEET UG 2025 with at least:
      • General/EWS – 50th percentile
      • General PwD – 45th percentile
      • SC/ST/OBC (including PwD) – 40th percentile

    5. State Quota Eligibility

    • Only West Bengal domicile candidates can apply for State Quota seats.

    6. Management Quota Eligibility

    Reservation Policy

    Reservation Policy – West Bengal NEET UG 2025 Counselling

    The West Bengal NEET UG 2025 Counselling follows the state government reservation norms for seat allocation under the State Quota, Management Quota, and NRI Quota in Government and Private Medical/Dental Colleges.

    1. State Quota Reservation (85% Government Medical & Dental Seats)

    Category-Wise Seat Distribution

    • Unreserved (UR) – Open Category
    • Scheduled Caste (SC) – 22%
    • Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 6%
    • Other Backward Classes (OBC-A) – 10%
    • Other Backward Classes (OBC-B) – 7%
    • Economically Weaker Section (EWS) – 10%
    • Persons with Disabilities (PwD) – 5% (Horizontal Reservation within all categories)
    • Wards of Ex-Servicemen (WESM) – As per West Bengal Government norms

    Horizontal Reservation

    • 5% seats in each category are reserved for PwD candidates.
    • Ex-Servicemen Quota is applicable based on state government rules.

    Domicile Requirement

    • Only West Bengal domicile candidates are eligible for State Quota reservation.
