The first round of MP NEET UG 2025 counselling begins with online registration from 21st July 2025. MP is a closed state for 1 round, so only candidates domiciled in MP can apply for government quota seats. Private colleges also prioritise residents of MP, though some seats are available to candidates from other states in later rounds.

2. NEET UG Qualification: Candidates must qualify NEET UG 2025 as per NTA's cutoff.
3. Domicile Requirement:
   • Government Medical Colleges (85% State Quota): Only M.P. domicile candidates can apply.
   • Private Medical Colleges: Generally reserved for MP domicile students. However, some seats may be available to students from other states in later rounds, depending on seat availability.

4. Educational Qualification:
   • General Category: 50% in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology).
   • OBC/SC/ST: 40% in PCB.
   • PwD (General): 45% in PCB.
5. Age Criteria:
   • Minimum age: 17 years as of December 31, 2025.
   • No upper age limit.
6. NRI Quota: Available in private colleges for NRI candidates with valid documents.

Step-by-Step Counselling Process

Step 1: Online Registration

• Visit the official website (dme.mponline.gov.in) and click on the NEET UG 2025 Counselling link.
• Enter NEET UG 2025 details, personal information, and domicile details.
• Pay the counselling registration fee (₹1,000 - non-refundable).
• Upload scanned copies of necessary documents.

Step 2: Publication of Merit List

• After registration, DME MP will release a state merit list based on NEET UG scores.

Step 3: Choice Filling and Locking

• Candidates must log in and select their preferred colleges and courses.
• Choice filling is done based on preference and eligibility.
• After finalizing choices, candidates must lock them before the deadline.

• Fill maximum possible choices to increase chances of seat allotment.

Step 4: Seat Allotment Result

• Based on NEET UG rank, preferences, category, and seat availability, DME MP will publish seat allotment results online.
• Candidates who receive a seat must download the seat allotment letter from the official website.

Step 5: Reporting to Allotted College

• Candidates allotted a seat must report to the respective college within the given time frame.
• Carry original documents and photocopies for verification.
• Pay the admission fee to confirm the seat.

Step 6: Upgradation & Second Round of Counselling

• If candidates are not satisfied with their allotted seat, they can opt for an upgrade in the next round.
• Candidates who were not allotted any seat in Round 1 can participate in Round 2.

Step 7: Mop-Up Round (If Required)

• If seats remain vacant after Round 2, a mop-up round is conducted.
• This round is mainly for private medical colleges and leftover government seats.
• Candidates must register again to participate.

Step 8: Stray Vacancy Round

• If seats are still vacant after the mop-up round, colleges conduct a final stray vacancy round.
• Direct reporting to the college is required for seat allotment.

Counselling Fee & Security Deposit

• Registration Fee: ₹1,000 (Non-refundable)
• Security Deposit: Required for private college seat allotment (Refundable if admission is not taken).

Bond Policy & Service Obligation

• Government Medical Colleges: Candidates must serve 1 year in rural areas or pay a penalty of ₹10 lakh (General) / ₹5 lakh (Reserved Category).
• Seat Leaving Bond: ₹30 lakh if a student leaves the MBBS course after admission.
