MP is a closed state for 1 round, so only candidates domiciled in MP can apply for government quota seats. 2. NEET UG Qualification: Candidates must qualify for NEET UG 2026 as per NTA's cutoff.
3. Domicile Requirement:
   • Government Medical Colleges (85% State Quota): Only M.P. domicile candidates can apply.
• Private Medical Colleges: Generally reserved for MP domicile students. However, some seats may be available to students from other states in later rounds, depending on seat availability.

4. Educational Qualification:
   • General Category: 50% in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology).
• OBC/SC/ST: 40% in PCB.
• PwD (General): 45% in PCB.
5. Age Criteria:
   • Minimum age: 17 years as of December 31, 2026.
• No upper age limit.
6. NRI Quota: Available in private colleges for NRI candidates with valid documents.

Step-by-Step Counselling Process

Step 1: Online Registration

• Visit the official website (dme.mponline.gov.in) and click on the NEET UG 2026 Counselling link.
• Enter NEET UG 2026 details, personal information, and domicile details.
• Pay the counselling registration fee (₹1,000 - non-refundable).
• Upload scanned copies of the necessary documents.

• Class 12 Marksheet & Certificate

Step 2: Publication of Merit List

Step 3: Choice Filling and Locking

• Candidates must log in and select their preferred colleges and courses.
• Choice filling is done based on preference and eligibility.
• After finalising choices, candidates must lock them before the deadline.

• Fill as many possible choices as possible to increase the chances of seat allotment.
• Check last year’s cutoff ranks for better decision-making.
• Private medical colleges may open some seats for non-domicile candidates in later rounds.

Step 4: Seat Allotment Result

• Based on NEET UG rank, preferences, category, and seat availability, DME MP will publish seat allotment results online.
• Candidates who receive a seat must download the seat allotment letter from the official website.

Step 5: Reporting to Allotted College

• Candidates allotted a seat must report to the respective college within the given time frame.
• Carry original documents and photocopies for verification.
• Pay the admission fee to confirm the seat.

Step 6: Upgradation & Second Round of Counselling

• If candidates are not satisfied with their allotted seat, they can opt for an upgrade in the next round.
• Candidates who were not allotted any seat in Round 1 can participate in Round 2.

Step 7: Mop-Up Round (If Required)

• If seats remain vacant after Round 2, a mop-up round is conducted.
• This round is mainly for private medical colleges and leftover government seats.
• Candidates must register again to participate.

Step 8: Stray Vacancy Round

• If seats are still vacant after the mop-up round, colleges conduct a final stray vacancy round.
• Direct reporting to the college is required for seat allotment.

Counselling Fee & Security Deposit

• Registration Fee: ₹1,000 (Non-refundable)
• Security Deposit: Required for private college seat allotment (Refundable if admission is not taken).

Bond Policy & Service Obligation

• Government Medical Colleges: Candidates must serve 1 year in rural areas or pay a penalty of ₹10 lakh (General) / ₹5 lakh (Reserved Category).
• Seat Leaving Bond: ₹30 lakh if a student leaves the MBBS course after admission.
