    General Eligibility

    • NEET UG 2026 Qualification: Candidates must have qualified for NEET UG 2026.
    • Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian Citizen. NRIs/OCIs/PIOs can apply under the NRI Quota.
    • Minimum Educational Qualification:
      • Passed 10+2 (PCB) with English from a recognised board.
      • General Category: 50% marks in PCB.
      • SC/ST/OBC Category: 40% marks in PCB.
      • PwD Category: 45% marks in PCB.

    Domicile Criteria for State Quota Seats

    • Bonafide Himachal OR
    • Children of Himachal Pradesh Government Employees who have worked in HP for at least 2 years, OR
    • Children of Central Government Employees who have worked in HP for at least 2 years AND completed Class 10+1 & 10+2 from HP.

    Age Limit

    • Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2026.
    • There is no upper age limit as per NEET 2026 guidelines.

    HP NEET UG 2026 Counselling – Round-wise Process

    The counselling process consists of multiple rounds, including 1st round, 2nd round, 3rd round, and the Stray Vacancy Round.

    Round 1: Online Registration & Seat Allotment

    • Candidates register & submit choices of MBBS/BDS colleges.
    • AMRU releases the merit list based on the NEET 2026 rank.

    • Conducted only for vacant seats in Private Medical/Dental Colleges.
    • Direct institutional-level admissions based on merit.
    • No fresh registration allowed; only previously registered candidates can participate.
