The Medical Education Department, Rajasthan, has officially started the NEET UG 2025 counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions. Online registration and fee payment began on 28 July 2025, and the last date to apply is 1 August 2025. Choice filling and locking will be open from 5 to 7 August 2025, followed by seat allotment on 10 August 2025. Candidates must report to their allotted colleges between 11 and 14 August 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

Here is the eligibility criteria for Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling 

1. Educational Qualification

• For MBBS/BDS Course:
  • Must pass Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually.
  • Must have at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Bio-tech combined for Unreserved/General-EWS candidates.
  • 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Bio-tech combined for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD candidates.
  • Must have a rank in NEET UG 2025.
• Additional Subjects:
  • Candidates who took Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology as additional subjects after 12th from recognized boards are eligible.

2. Age Limit

• Lower Age Limit:
  • Must be 17 years.
• Upper Age Limit:
  • No upper age limit for NEET UG.

3. Rajasthan Residency Criteria

• Residency Conditions for Candidates:
  • The father/mother of the candidate has continuously resided in Rajasthan for 10 years, and the candidate studied for at least 5 years in Rajasthan.
  • Students from Rajasthan studying in other states are eligible.
  • Sons/daughters of government employees/officers of Rajasthan or retired personnel with 3 years of service in Rajasthan.
  • Sons/daughters of Indian Defense/para-military forces personnel from Rajasthan origin.
• Other Candidates:
  • Candidates not covered in above categories can only apply for vacant seats after exhausting the State Merit list.

4. NRI Candidates Eligibility

• For NRI Quota:
  • At least one parent must be an NRI.
  • Sponsor can be a first-degree relative (e.g., brother, sister) who is an NRI.
  • Wards of other nearest relatives (e.g., uncle, aunt, grandparents) can also be considered.
• Proof Required:
  • NRI status proof (certificate from Indian embassy or notarized affidavit).
  • Affidavit stating the sponsor will cover the entire course fee.

5. Reservation

• All India Quota:
  • 15% of seats reserved for All India candidates (filled by DGHS).
• State Quota (Rajasthan):
  • SC: 16%, ST: 12%, OBC: 21%, MBC: 5%, EWS: 10%.
• Female Candidates:
  • 25% of seats in each category are reserved for female candidates.
• PwD (Disability) Candidates:
  • 5% of seats in each category reserved for PwD under the Disabilities Act, 2016.
• Defence/Para-Military Personnel:
  • 1% of seats reserved for sons/daughters of Defense/Para-military personnel of Rajasthan origin (priority in defined order).
• NRI Seats:
  • NRI seats are not reserved but are prioritized for candidates with an ancestral background in Rajasthan.

6. Other Important Points

• Defence and Para-Military Seats:
  • Defence and Para-military seats are available only once in a lifetime per family. Prioritized based on personnel's service details.
• NRI Quota:
  • No reservation on NRI seats, but priority is given to candidates with ancestral ties to Rajasthan (residency proof required).
• Reserved Seat Unavailability:
  • If reserved seats are unfilled by the end of round 3, they will be treated as unreserved and allotted accordingly.

• 15% of seats in Government Medical Colleges and Government Society Medical Colleges (RajMES), RUHS Medical College, ESIC MC, and RUHS CDS are reserved for All India Quota (filled by DGHS).

• 24 seats in State Medical Colleges (6 Govt. colleges) for MBBS will be reserved for candidates selected by the Central Government (filled by the Central Government Authority).

3. State Quota (Remaining Seats)

• After the AIQ and Central Government pool seats, the remaining seats are filled on merit-cum-preference basis under the State Quota with the following reservations:

Category-Based Reservations:

• 16% reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC).
• 12% reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST), with 45% of these reserved for candidates from Scheduled Areas (tribal areas).
• 21% reserved for Other Backward Classes Non-Creamy Layer (OBC NCL).
• 5% reserved for More Backward Classes Non-Creamy Layer (MBC NCL).
• 10% reserved for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).

Gender-Based Reservations:

• 25% of each category (SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS, and unreserved) reserved for female candidates.

4. Defence and Para-Military Seats

• 1% of seats in Government Medical Colleges are reserved for the sons/daughters of Defence and Para-Military personnel from Rajasthan.
  • Priority Order for Defence Personnel:
    1. Widows/Wards of Defence Personnel killed in action.
    2. Wards of those disabled in action and boarded out.
    3. Wards of Defence personnel who died in service.
    4. Wards of Defence personnel who are disabled in service.
    5. Wards of ex-servicemen and serving personnel receiving Gallantry Awards.
    6. Wards of ex-servicemen.
    7. Wives of Defence personnel (killed in action, disabled in service, or receiving Gallantry Awards).
    8. Wards and wives of serving personnel.
• Priority Order for Para-Military Personnel:
  • Wards/Widows of Para-military personnel killed in action.
  • Wards/Widows of those disabled in action and boarded out.
  • Wards of all serving and retired personnel.
• Gender-Based Reservation for Defence/Para-Military:
  • 50% of the 1% reserved seats are for female candidates.

5. PwD (Persons with Disabilities)

• 5% of seats from each category (SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS, and unreserved) reserved for candidates with specified disabilities (PwD) under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
• Disability Certificate must be issued by one of the 16 approved centers.

6. NRI Quota

• NRI seats are not reserved, but priority is given to candidates with an ancestral background from Rajasthan (proof required).
• Remaining NRI seats are filled by other NRI candidates from outside Rajasthan.
• PIO/OCI candidates are eligible for NRI quota.

7. Unfilled Reserved Seats

• After the 3rd round of counselling, unfilled reserved seats from categories SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS, or Defence will be treated as unreserved and filled accordingly.

Seat Allotment Process

Stray Vacancy Round:

• Stray Vacancy Round: If any seats remain vacant after Round 3, a stray vacancy round will be conducted. The allotment process for these seats will be finalized as per merit and choice preferences.

Important Guidelines for All Rounds:

• No Request for Extension: No candidate will be allowed to extend the joining date under any circumstances. The allotment decision is final, and any request for seat change will not be entertained.
• Joining at the College: Candidates who have been allotted a seat must join the college in person within the prescribed time. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification.
