Overview
The Medical Counselling Committee has put out an important notice for NEET PG 2025-26 Round 3 counselling. This notice is about changing the nationality or category from Indian to NRI. The Medical Counselling Committee wants candidates to know this update if they want to say they are an NRI, for the next counselling round. The Medical Counselling Committee is doing this because the Supreme Court said so. The NEET PG 2025-26 Round 3 counselling is going to follow the Supreme Court directions. Candidates who want to claim NRI status for the PG 2025-26 Round 3 counselling should pay attention to this notice from the Medical Counselling Committee.
The notice says that people who are eligible to apply must send in their request and the necessary papers by email only. They have to do this within a time period. If someone sends in a request outside of this time or does not follow the format, it will not be looked at. This is important for people who want to be part of Round 3 or the mop-up round or other counselling rounds that are for the NRI quota. The NRI quota is what these candidates are applying for, so they need to pay attention to this update about the NRI quota.
People who are applying should know that this change only affects who can go to counselling. Once it is approved, the NRI category will stay the same for all the rest of the NEET PG 2025-26 counselling rounds.
