Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025

To participate in Bihar NEET UG counselling 2025, candidates must fulfill the specified eligibility conditions related to academic qualifications, domicile requirements, and age limit. 1. NEET UG Qualification

• Candidates must have appeared for NEET UG 2025 and secured the minimum qualifying percentile as prescribed by NMC (National Medical Commission).

2. Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English from a recognized board.
• Minimum required marks in PCB subjects:
  • General Category: 50%
  • SC/ST/OBC/EBC: 40%
  • PwD Category: 45%

3. Age Criteria

• Minimum Age: The candidate must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2025.
• Maximum Age: There is no upper age limit as per the latest NEET UG guidelines.

4. Domicile Requirements

Candidates must fulfill one of the following conditions:

• The candidate must be a permanent resident of Bihar and should provide a valid domicile certificate.
• Candidates whose parents are permanent employees of the Bihar government or work in Bihar government undertakings are eligible.
• Non-domicile candidates are eligible only for Private Medical Colleges under Management/NRI quota seats.

5. NRI & Management Quota Eligibility

• NRI Quota: Candidates must either be an NRI themselves or have a valid NRI sponsor with necessary proof (passport, visa, affidavit, etc.).
• Management Quota: Available in Private Medical/Dental Colleges, open to all candidates, including non-domicile students.

Reservation Criteria

Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025 Reservation Criteria

Bihar follows a reservation policy for seat allotment in government medical and dental colleges under the state quota. Reserved seats are allocated to categories such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), Backward Classes (BC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) as per government regulations. Candidates must provide valid category certificates to claim reservation benefits.

Category-wise Seat Reservation

• Scheduled Caste (SC): 16% of reserved seats
• Scheduled Tribe (ST): 1% of reserved seats
• Extremely Backward Class (EBC): 18% of reserved seats
• Backward Class (BC): 12% of reserved seats
• Reserved Category Girls (RCG): 3% of reserved seats

NRI Quota in Private Colleges

• Some private medical and dental colleges reserve a specific percentage of seats for NRI candidates, with separate admission criteria and higher tuition fees.
• Candidates seeking admission under the NRI Quota must submit valid NRI documents, including proof of sponsorship and financial status.

Important Instructions for Reserved Category Candidates

• Candidates must provide valid caste and reservation certificates issued by the competent authority in Bihar to claim their reserved seat.
• If a candidate fails to produce the required certificate at the time of admission, they will be considered under the General (Unreserved) category.
• EWS category candidates must submit a valid income and asset certificate as per government guidelines.

Step 1: Online Registration

• Visit the official website: bceceboard.bihar.gov.in

• Click on "UGMAC-2025" and select "Apply Online".
• Enter NEET UG 2025 Roll Number and verify your details.
• Provide a valid Email ID and Mobile Number (OTP verification required).
• Set up a strong password and complete the registration.
• Email ID & Mobile Number cannot be changed later.

Step 2: Fill Personal Details

• Log in using the registered Email ID and Password.
• Fill in personal details such as name, category, gender, and parents’ details.
• Click "Save & Continue" to proceed.

Step 3: Upload Photograph & Signature

• Upload a passport-size photograph (same as NEET UG 2025 application).
• Upload a scanned signature in Hindi and English (not in capital letters).
• Ensure file size and format are as per the prescribed specifications.
• Click "Save & Continue" to proceed.

Step 4: Enter Educational Details

• Fill in Class 10 & 12 examination details:
  • Board Name
  • Passing Year
  • Marks Obtained
  • Subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
• Click "Save & Continue" after entering details correctly.

Step 5: Review Application Form

• Carefully review all details before submission.
• If any corrections are needed, click "Back to Edit".
• Tick the declaration box and proceed to payment.

Step 6: Payment of Application Fee

Candidates must pay the non-refundable counselling registration fee online via:

Important Notes:

• Payment is mandatory to complete the application process.
• If the amount is deducted but application status isn’t updated, candidates must re-pay. The failed transaction amount will be refunded within 7-8 working days.
• Keep the payment receipt for future reference.

Step 7: Download Confirmation Page

• After successful payment, download Part-A & Part-B of the Application Form.
• Keep multiple hard copies for future use.
• No need to send the form to BCECEB, but it will be required during document verification.

Counselling Process

Counselling Process for Bihar NEET UG 2025

The Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025 is conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) for admission to MBBS, BDS, and BVSc & AH courses in government and private medical/dental colleges under the State Quota. The counselling consists of multiple rounds, including Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and Stray Vacancy Round.

Round 1: Initial Seat Allotment

1. Online Registration:
   • Candidates must register on the official website bceceboard.bihar.gov.in within the given timeframe.
   • Enter NEET-UG 2025 Roll Number, personal details, and category information.
   • Verify email and mobile number through OTP authentication.
2. Choice Filling & Locking:
   • Candidates select their preferred colleges and courses based on their NEET rank.
   • Choices must be locked before the deadline.
3. Seat Allotment Result:
   • BCECEB releases the Round 1 Seat Allotment List based on merit, category, and preferences.
   • Candidates must log in and download their Provisional Allotment Letter.
4. Reporting & Document Verification:
   • Candidates allotted a seat must report to the designated reporting center for document verification.
   • Those satisfied with their seat pay the admission fee and complete formalities.
   • Candidates can opt for upgradation to Round 2 by marking “Yes” during seat acceptance.
5. Free Exit Option:
   • If a candidate does not report, they will be considered to have exited counselling and will not be charged any penalty.

Round 2: Upgradation & Fresh Allotment

1. Fresh Choice Filling:
   • Candidates who were allotted seats in Round 1 but opted for upgradation can rearrange preferences.
   • New candidates who did not participate in Round 1 can register afresh.
2. Seat Allotment Result:
   • The revised seat allotment list is released based on vacant seats from Round 1.
   • Candidates must download their new allotment letter if allotted a different seat.
3. Reporting to Allotted College:
   • Candidates must physically report to their new college for document verification.
   • Those who do not report will forfeit their seat and security deposit.
4. Rules for Retained & Upgraded Candidates:
   • If a candidate’s Round 1 seat is retained, they must take admission.
   • If allotted an upgraded seat, they must report to the new college and complete formalities.
5. Exit & Refund Policy:
   • Candidates who joined a college in Round 2 cannot resign or exit.
   • If a candidate does not take admission on an upgraded seat, the security deposit is forfeited.

Round 3: Mop-up Round (Final Counselling Round for Vacant Seats)

1. Fresh Registration for New Candidates:
   • Candidates who did not participate in earlier rounds can register again.
   • Candidates already admitted cannot participate in this round.
2. Choice Filling & Seat Allotment:
   • Candidates must fill fresh choices based on available seats.
   • BCECEB releases the Round 3 seat allotment list.
3. Final Reporting to College:
   • Candidates must report to their allotted college with required documents.
   • Those who do not report lose their seat and security deposit.
4. No Upgradation Allowed:
   • Once a seat is allotted in Round 3, there is no option for further upgradation.

Stray Vacancy Round (Only for Private Colleges)

1. Conducted for Leftover Seats:
   • This round is only for vacant seats in private medical and dental colleges.
   • No new registration is allowed; only candidates already registered can participate.
2. Direct Admission at College Level:
   • Colleges conduct direct institutional-level admissions based on merit.
   • Candidates must report directly to the college with documents and fees.
3. Final Seat Acceptance:
   • Once admitted in the Stray Vacancy Round, candidates cannot switch colleges.
