Who Can Apply for BFUHS NEET UG Counselling 2025

Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen. NRIs can apply under the NRI quota.

• Domicile Requirement
• The candidate must be a domicile of Punjab OR
• The candidate must have studied Class 10+1 and 10+2 from Punjab.
• NEET UG 2025 Qualification: Candidates must have qualified NEET UG 2025 with the required percentile
• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English with
• General Category: Minimum 50% marks in PCB
• SC/ST/OBC Category: Minimum 40% marks in PCB
• PwD Category: Minimum 45% marks in PCB
• Age Limit: The candidate must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2025.

Punjab Domicile Criteria for NEET UG Counselling 2025

Candidates must fulfill at least one of the following conditions to be eligible for 85% Punjab State Quota seats

• Born in Punjab OR must be a Permanent Resident of Punjab.
• Candidates who have studied in Punjab for at least 5 years before their qualifying exam (10+2).
• Parents must have resided in Punjab for at least 2 years before the NEET UG 2025 exam.
• Children of Punjab Government employees (including those on deputation outside Punjab) who have served for at least 3 years.
• Children of Central Government, Defence Services, or PSU employees who were posted in Punjab for at least 5 years before NEET UG 2025.
• Children of Punjab Government pensioners or retired employees settled in Punjab.
• Residents of Punjab posted outside the state for government service, whose children continued schooling in Punjab.

*Domicile Certificate Requirement: Candidates must submit a valid domicile/residence certificate issued by a competent Punjab authority.

Round 1: Online Registration & Choice Filling

• Visit www.bfuhs.ac.in and click on Punjab NEET UG Counselling 2025 link.
• Register by entering your NEET UG 2025 Roll Number and Application Number.
• Pay the non-refundable registration fee – ₹5,900 (General) / ₹2,950 (SC).
• Upload all required documents in the specified format.
• Fill and lock your college choices carefully before the deadline.
• BFUHS will release the Provisional Merit List of registered candidates.

*Note: Candidates who do not register in Round 1 can still apply in Round 2.

Round 2: Seat Allotment & Admission Confirmation

• BFUHS will release the seat allotment list based on NEET rank, category, and choices filled.
• If allotted a seat, download the provisional allotment letter.
• Report to the allotted college within the given timeframe.
• Get documents verified and pay the tuition fees online to confirm your admission.
• If a candidate does not report or pay fees, the seat will be cancelled and allotted to another student in Round 2.

*Important: Candidates who wish to upgrade their seat must participate in Round 2 counselling and submit fresh choices.

Mop-Up Round (For Vacant Seats)

• Conducted for vacant seats left after Round 2.
• Fresh registrations may be allowed. Candidates must re-enter their choices.
• Allotment is final – If you get a seat, you must take admission, or you will be debarred from further rounds.
• NRI & Management Quota seats are also filled in this round.

*Note: If you already have a seat from Round 1 or 2, you cannot participate in the Mop-Up Round unless you have surrendered your seat before the deadline.

Stray Vacancy Round (Only for Private Colleges)

• Conducted only for vacant seats in private medical/dental colleges.
• No fresh registration – only previously registered candidates can apply.
• Colleges prepare a merit list and offer admission at the institution level.
• Direct reporting to the college is required.

* Important: Once you accept a seat in Stray Vacancy Round, you cannot participate in any further counselling rounds.
