    Overview

    An official notification for the Phase-III (Mop-Up) round of counselling for enrolment into PG Medical Degree and Diploma Courses has been released by Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. This particular round focuses on the Management quota seats (S1, S2, and S3 categories) present in Pvt. Medical colleges across Andhra Pradesh, and also for the self-financing and NRI seats in newly approved Government Medical Colleges.

    The main aim of this phase is to fill out those seats which are vacant due to candidate resignation or failure to report in Phase-II.

    Key highlights

     * Target Categories: It covers all management quota inclusion of S1 (General Merit), S2 (NRI), and S3 (Institutional Preference).

     * Security Deposit: In order to prevent the “seat blocking”, all candidates must have to pay a mandatory security deposit of Rs. 3,00,000 (Refundable).

     * Fee Structure: The fee of the colleges slightly varies as per different branches of Clinical, Para-Clinical and Pre-Clinical.

     * New Seats: Now the seats of the newly established Government Medical Colleges in Eluru, Machilipatnam, Nandyal, Vizianagaram and Rajahmundry are also included.  

     * Web Options: Candidates can select numerous colleges or branches of their choice. There will be no restriction on that.

    Eligibility Criteria

    The candidates who secured their seats anywhere else are strictly prohibited from participating in the Phase-III round, but the eligibility criteria are broad.

    Who is Eligible:

     * Registered Candidates: Candidates who are in the Consolidated Final Merit list released on 06.02.2026.

     * Unallotted Candidates: The candidate who participated in Phase-I and Phase-II but unluckily not get selected are eligible.

     * Reported Candidates: Those who participated in Phase-I and Phase-II of counselling and got allotted but are looking for the upgradation will be eligible.

     * Non-Reporting/Resigned Candidates: The candidates who enrolled their seats previously but didn’t report or resigned under “Free Exit.” But remember that you cannot opt for the same seat which you gave up previously.

    Who is NOT Eligible:

     * AIQ Holders: Candidates who have already been admitted and joined the seats by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) All India Quota (up to Round 3).

     * Debarred Candidates: Candidates whose seats were allotted in 2024-25 stray rounds but didn’t report, and also for candidates who dropped out of the courses offered in the year 2022-23.

     * Specific Blocking: Candidates who get the seats under the Competent Authority Quota in Round-III, then the candidate automatically gets blocked from the Management Quota (MQ) Process.

    Admission Process

    Step 1: Payment of Security Deposit

    For security purpose candidate must deposit an amount of Rs. 3,00,000.

    * Refundable: The amount will be refundable if the candidate joins the allotted seat or doesn’t get a seat.

     * Forfeited: If the candidate's document didn’t verified or if any fraudulent documents were found, and if the candidate gets the seat but he/she failed to join shall not be eligible.

    Step 2: Selecting Web Options

    Candidates must login into the official university web portal within the window frame of 9th February 2026 to 11th February 2026.

     *Preparation : Check the Seat Matrix which was released on 5th December 2025, 23rd December 2025, and 06th February 2026.

     * Submission: Choose the preference of your colleges and branches and take the print out of them.

     * Note: If the candidates are already admitted to a seat in the Round-I / Round-II, then that vacancy will automatically be the candidate's final preference.

    Step 3: Allotment and University Fee

    If the candidate is assigned a seat and wants to access their allotment order, then the candidate must pay the University fee of around Rs. 49,600 (Candidates who paid in the earlier phase need not pay again).

    Step 4: Reporting and Verification

    Visit your allotted college with the proper required documents and the Tuition fee. The admission will only be secured after the document verification process.

    New Government Medical Colleges (Self-Financing)

    The annual fee of the  Medical colleges located in the area of Eluru, Nandyal, Machilipatnam, Rajahmundry and Vizianagaram is as follows:

     * Self-financing category (CA-SF, 35% of seats): ₹9,00,000 per year.

     * NRI Category (CA-NRI, 15% of seats): ₹29,00,000 per year.

    Important Instructions

     * Virtual Vacancies: The seat of a candidate will be filled with immediate effect during the same counselling round if the candidate moves from one college to another college for any reason.

     * Reservation criteria: For local candidates (AU/SVU region), 85% of Subcategory-1 seats will be fixed. And for any reason, if the local candidate seat is not filled, then it will be open for All India Subcategory-1A candidates.

     * Compulsory Reporting: If any candidate is allotted the seat under Phase III, then he/she must join/ report to the college. Failure in doing so will result in the loss of the security deposit of worth Rs. 3,00,000 and also have chances to get disqualified from further counselling.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

    Q1: If I missed to pay the security deposit in earlier rounds, can I pay now?

    Yes, to enter into the Mop-Up round you can submit the amount of Rs.3,00,000.

    Q2: The security amount will be refundable if I couldn’t able to make a seat?

    Yes. If you are not allotted then definitely withing the closure of admission process the deposit will be refundable.

    Q3: Can I make changes in the preference in college after the deadline?

    No. Once the window bracket closes, candidate will not be able to make any further changes.

    Q4:If I get an upgrade then what will happen to my earlier seat? Do I have any claims over there?

    No, you don’t have any claim over the previous allotted seat and the vacant seat will be allotted to the next candidate in the merit list.

    In the admission period, the Phase-III/ Mop-Up round plays a crucial role, and it’s a decisive phase. The security deposit worth Rs.3,00,000 is introduced to demotivate the non-serious candidates, filter them out and encourage the committed candidates. As the small amount will lead to the wastage of seats. It is crucial for the candidates to set their priorities in a strategic manner to avoid any further difficulties and disqualification, as the penalties have serious consequences.
