The MBBS admission at Saveetha Medical College follows the guidelines set by the MCC and the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), New Delhi. Below is the detailed admission and counselling process for the academic year 2025-26, including the counselling rounds:

1. Eligibility Criteria

Age Requirement: The candidate must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, of the examination year..
Academic Qualifications: Candidates must have passed 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate (40% for OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD candidates).
NEET UG 2025: Candidates must have qualified in the NEET UG 2025 examination and secured a rank in the merit list.
Foreign Candidates: Must meet equivalency requirements set by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) for educational qualifications.

2. Centralized Counselling by DGHS

Rounds of Counselling:
- The admission to MBBS will take place through the centralized counselling conducted by the MCC of DGHS, New Delhi.
- First Round: All candidates allotted through the first round of counselling must report to the college with the required documents and fees.
- Second Round: If any seats remain vacant after the first round, a second round of counselling will be held. Candidates who were not allotted seats in the first round may be considered.
- Mop-Up Round: If there are still vacant seats after the second round, a mop-up round will be conducted for the remaining candidates.

3. Reporting to Saveetha Medical College

Candidates who are allotted seats must report to Saveetha Medical College during the specified counselling schedule.

7. Failure to Report

Withdrawal after Counselling Period: If a candidate withdraws after the counselling period or during the course, the first-year fee will be forfeited, and the remaining course fees will need to be paid for the entire program.
No Refund: After the counselling period or once the seat cannot be surrendered to DGHS, there will be no refund of the fee.
