Overview
The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has announced an update regarding the Round III counselling in the Post Graduate Medical Admissions-2026. The revision follows new guidelines for the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) (Advt. No.- BCECEB(PGMAC)-2025/19).
Ensuring a seat in MD, MS, PGD, and DNB programs across the territory of the Bihar Government and private medical institutions is called the Post Graduate Medical Admission Counselling (PGMAC).
Round III is also known as the “Mop-up” round, which is designed to fill the leftover vacancies and seats opened due to the process of resignation. This round is important because it is associated with the Revised NEET(PG)-2025 results and the “WITHHELD” results of the candidates.
Key Highlights
* Inclusion of Withheld Candidates: For the candidates whose NEET(PG) results are withheld initially by the NBEMS, but now it has been released, all those candidates are now eligible for this.
* Fresh Registration Opportunity: For the candidates who missed the opportunity to register themselves in the Round I and Round II, now have the opportunity to apply for the same.
* Updated Seat Matrix: In this round, the seats were readjusted, and the addition of some new seats occurred due to the resignation process in phase II.
* Choice Filling/Editing: The already registered candidates are now eligible to make changes in their previous choice due to the availability of new seats in this Round.
* Mandatory Consent: The students who submitted their application but didn’t give their consent yet for this round must do so now.
