Overview
Welcome to phase 2 of the 3rd round of the online counselling process for NEET PG 2025, conducted by the MCC.
Round 3 will take place between December 8th to December 28th. So you have your opportunity to partake in the mop-up round/round 3 in these 20 days.
The second step in this process is about registration and payment, and in this round, it will commence on Dec 8th and end on Dec 14th, 2025. Read on for a detailed look at this stage.

Key Highlights
| Aspect | Details |
|---|---|
| Official Dates | Dec 8 to Dec 14 |
| Primary Purpose | This step allows you to enter Round 3. You must complete registration and fee payment to access newly released seats. |
| Core Activity |
Complete these two steps: 1. Register: Log in on the MCC portal and confirm your participation for Round 3. 2. Pay Fee: Submit the required security amount online. |
| Who Needs to Register |
All Candidates: - New Candidates: Must register and pay for the first time. - Previous Candidates: Who didn’t get a seat or resigned must register again. - Upgrading Candidates: Those seeking a better seat must also register and pay. MCC: - Opens the portal for Round 3 registration. - Verifies payments and activates your choice-filling option. |
| Why It Matters | If you miss registration or payment, you cannot participate in Round 3 at all. You lose the chance to get any seat, even if eligible. |

- Have qualified NEET PG Current year, conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE)
- Have completed or are completing their MBBS internship by July 31st, 2025.
- Possess a valid registration certificate from the National Medical Commission (NMC) or the respective State Medical Council
So if you meet the internal quota requirements for Central Universities if applying under such categories, then congratulations- you're eligible! Keep in mind, the respective universities decide what the criteria for eligibility should be for internal quotas, not MCC.
| Category | Minimum Eligibility Criteria 2025 | Cutoff Score |

| General PwD | 45th percentile | 255 |
| SC / ST / OBC (including PwD of SC/ST/OBC) | 40th percentile | 235 |

Registration Process
Filling out the form is a detailed process. It asks for a lot of your background information and requires you to upload many documents. Be careful that your name matches perfectly on every single document, as even a small difference will need to be fixed. Finally, the upload process is very specific: your files must be clear enough to read, but also small enough to meet the size limit.
Payment of Counselling Fees
Security Fee Structure:
| Category | Amount |
|---|---|
| General / OBC / EWS | ₹10,000 |
| SC / ST / PwD | ₹5,000 |
Payment Methods:
- Net Banking
- Debit Card
- Credit Card
- UPI (if available)
Important: This security fee is refundable (except a small processing charge) if you don't get a seat or if you withdraw as per rules.
Choice Filling & Locking
Alright, once the registration/payment period is over, you move on to the next steps involving Choice filling & locking. This round will be carried on during the same period as the previous round- 9th Dec to 14th Dec, 2025.
If done registering- Your name will appear on the merit list and your next job is to successfully choose and lock your college options. Choice filling is basically creating your dream college list. Start researching now - don't wait until the last minute. Make a list of your top choices, some realistic options, and a few safety picks. Your future self will thank you.
Next, you MUST hit that “Lock Choices” button before the deadline. If you don’t, the system will just ignore all your hard work. So set a reminder, tell a friend, do whatever it takes to lock on time!
Result & Reporting
The moment of truth! When the seat allotment results drop on Dec 15th-16th, 2025, log in ASAP to see if you got a seat. If you did, celebrate, then get moving. You’ll need to download your allotment letter and physically report to the allotted college with all your original documents. Don’t be late, colleges won’t wait, and you don’t want to lose your seat because you missed the reporting window.
Round 3 Benefits
Round 3 is your next big chance. Think of it this way: you now have a clearer picture of your options, and many seats are still available. If you got a seat in Round 2, you can try for a better one without any risk. Plus, the competition is often lower, which increases your chances of success.
