Eligibility Criteria
Curious about what the qualifiers even were to participate in this huge process? Well, you're in luck because here they are-
- Have qualified NEET PG Current year, conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE)
- Have completed or are completing their MBBS internship by July 31st, 2025.
- Possess a valid registration certificate from the National Medical Commission (NMC) or the respective State Medical Council
So if you meet the internal quota requirements for Central Universities if applying under such categories, then congratulations- you're eligible!
Keep in mind, the respective universities decide what the criteria for eligibility should be for internal quotas, not MCC.

Result Announcement Process
On November 26th, when results are declared:
- Login Early: But not too early - portal might crash
- Have Patience: Keep trying if the website is slow
- Download Immediately: Save your allotment letter
- Read Carefully: Check all details - college, course, category
Then you have three options:
- Accept and Report - Take the seat and proceed to college
- Accept and Upgrade - Keep the seat but try for better in next round
- Resign and Exit - Decline the seat and leave counselling
Final Advice
However this day goes for you, remember this is just one of the many rounds. I've seen students get nothing in Round 1 and their dream seat in Round 2. The counselling process has more twists than you'd expect!
While you're waiting for the 26th to roll around, make copies of everything. Save your allotment letter everywhere - phone, laptop, cloud, that USB drive you got free at a conference. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
If you get a seat, research your college immediately. Check their website for reporting dates, fee structure, hostel info. Don't be that person who shows up a week early!
And on result day, just remember one thing- your score doesn't matter nearly as much as the doctor you become.

No, you have until reporting/joining to make your decision. So, you can make a well thought out decision.
If I choose upgrade but don't get anything better in Round 3, do I lose my current seat?
Nope! You keep your original seat unless you specifically get and accept an upgrade. It's like having insurance
