Who Should Participate in GGSIPU Counselling?

This counselling is meant for NEET UG 2026-qualified candidates who want admission to eligible MBBS seats through GGSIPU.

The official notification specifically covers admissions for participating medical colleges under the university, while some colleges continue to conduct admissions through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) instead.

Not Handled by GGSIPU

These 3 colleges are NOT handled by GGSIPU. You register on the MCC website instead:

• VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital (170 seats)
• ABVIMS & Dr. RML Hospital (100 seats)
• ESI, PGIMSR (50 seats)

For all three of these, 100% of seats (both AIQ and State Quota) go through MCC counselling. Don't try to register for these on the GGSIPU portal; it won't work.

Handled by GGSIPU (for state quota seats)

Hindu Rao Hospital (60 seats) - 85% is State Quota (handled by GGSIPU), 15% is AIQ (handled by MCC). But there's a Condition: only students who studied both 11th and 12th class in a Delhi school/college can apply for the State Quota seats here.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Medical College (125 seats)- 85% State Quota through GGSIPU (with the same Delhi-schooling condition), 15% AIQ through MCC.

Army College of Medical Sciences (ACMS) (100 seats) - Fully handled by GGSIPU. This college is only for children of Army personnel, Ex-Army personnel, or war widows. Important: children of Air Force, Navy, or forces like CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF are NOT eligible here.

Step-by-Step Registration Guide

Step 1: Registration, Payment And Document Upload

Window: 19 August, 4:00 PM to 21 August, 11:59 PM

What you need to do:

• Register on the GGSIPU portal (only if your target college is Hindu Rao, Dr. BSA, or ACMS)
• Pay the fee of ₹2,500
• Upload your NEET UG 2026 scorecard and other required documents

Important tip: If you're applying for the State Quota seats at Hindu Rao or Dr. BSA Medical College, upload your 11th-class marksheet along with your 12th-class marksheet, both in a single PDF file. This is needed to prove you studied in Delhi for both years.

There is no extra time after 11:59 PM. Registration, payment, and document upload all close simultaneously. So don't wait until the last night; payment sites often become slow when everyone tries at the same time.

Step 2: Filling Your College Choices

Window: 19 August, 4:00 PM to 21 August, 11:59 PM

This step is very important. If you don't fill in your choices, you will not get any seat, even if your rank is good.

The university has clearly warned that many students in the past filled only 2-3 choices and ended up getting nothing. So don't make this mistake. Fill as many choices as you can, in the order you actually want them.

Some simple tips:

• Don't just fill your 2-3 dream colleges. Add every college and course you'd be okay accepting.
• Check previous year's rank cutoffs on the university website before filling.
• Once done, save your choices and take a printout for your own records.

Good news: if you don't get your first choice in Round 1, you can still change your choices before the next round. So this list is not your only chance.

How Seats Are Given

Seats are given purely based on your NEET UG 2026 All India Rank. There is no separate exam or extra test. Also, your category (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, etc.) cannot be changed now; it stays the same as what you filled in your original NEET application form.

• NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard
• Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets
• Class 11 marksheet too (only if applying for State Quota at Hindu Rao or Dr. BSA College)
