If we follow the 2024 cut-off trends the different cutoffs for different categories are as follows: 720-162 for General | 720-127 for SC/ST/OBC | 161-127 for PH. And based on such past trends you can obtain the latest cut offs for 2025.

As per the official notice by NTA, NEET 2025 is tentatively scheduled for May 4, 2025 (Sunday). The application form is expected to release around January 2025, and the admit card will be issued approximately (1 may 2025).

The eligibility criteria for appearing in NEET 2025 is:

• Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
• Minimum Marks in Qualifying Exam: 50% for General, 40% for OBC/SC/ST, 45% for PwD.
• Age Limit: Must have attained 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2025.
• Overseas Citizens of India: Citizens residing outside India who must appear at overseas centres.

NEET counselling is a process where candidates are allotted MBBS, BDS, and other allied medical seats based on their NEET-UG score, reservation category, and college preferences. The counselling process generally includes the following stages:

• Online Registration on the official MCC (for AIQ) or state websites.
• Choice Filling & Locking of preferred courses and colleges.
• Seat Allotment Result declaration based on merit and preferences.
• Reporting to the Allotted College for document verification and admission confirmation.

Each stage must be completed within the specified timeline. Failing to report can result in seat cancellation.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, conducts the counselling for:

• 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government medical/dental colleges (except in J&K).
• 100% seats in Deemed Universities, Central Universities (like AMU, DU, BHU), and ESIC colleges.
• AIIMS and JIPMER admissions are also included under MCC from 2020 onwards.

There are four rounds in NEET UG Counselling conducted by MCC:

• Round 1
• Round 2
• Mop-Up Round
• Stray Vacancy Round

State counselling authorities may also follow a similar format. If any seats remain vacant after these rounds, they may be handed over to the respective colleges for final round admissions (in private/deemed institutes).

Yes. NEET counselling follows the Government of India’s reservation policy:

• SC: 15%
• ST: 7.5%
• OBC-NCL: 27%
• EWS: 10%
• PwD: 5% (horizontal reservation across all categories)

Note: States may have their own reservation criteria under state quota counselling.

As per the latest data, 779 medical colleges across India are expected to participate in NEET UG 2025 admissions. These include government, private, and deemed universities offering MBBS and BDS programs.

As per the latest update from the National Medical Commission (NMC), a total of1,17,950 MBBS seats are available for NEET UG 2025 aspirants across India. These seats are offered by both government and private medical colleges and are distributed under different quotas such as All India Quota (AIQ), State Quota, Management Quota, and NRI Quota.

• Government Medical Colleges: 59,835 seats
• Private Medical Colleges: 58,115 seats
• Total MBBS Seats: 1,17,950

Note: According to the NMC's last official notice for the academic year 2024-25, the total number of approved MBBS seats was 1,03,464. The updated figure includes new colleges and additional seats expected to be added before NEET UG 2025.
